ALG Lawyers Volunteers Services at Charity Present Now to Benefit Child Victims of Domestic Violence

“Handpicking a gift for children who have been through a really difficult time and possibly having the chance to put a smile on their faces during their most important days of the year is such a great feeling.” — ALG Lawyers Volunteer

Domestic violence is an ongoing menace in the United States. Twenty people per minute suffer from physical abuse caused by their intimate partner. Though this situation is already devastating, statistics worsen because of the involvement of children. Domestic violence cases have a 90% chance that a child was an eyewitness to the gruesome event.

No child deserves to witness or experience domestic abuse. To somehow ease the pain of children going through this horror, ALG Lawyers volunteers at Present Now to share the love with very special children. Besides assisting and protecting immigrants as an immigration law firm, we advocate for positive change in the world.

ALG Lawyers Volunteers at Present Now

On March 13, 2023, volunteers from ALG Lawyers assisted the Santa Monica headquarters of Present Now in their charity work. Present Now is a nonprofit organization providing gifts and solace to children in transitional domestic violence shelters. In over ten years of service, the organization delivered 12,588 presents to more than 7,200 children and families.

ALG Lawyers Volunteers Giving Back to the Community

At the headquarters, ALG Lawyers volunteers helped organize gifts, especially birthday presents for child beneficiaries. They packed each box with love and personalized messages.

This effort is part of ALG Lawyers’ commitment to giving back through its Giv2America Charity Program.

Habit of Giving Back to the Community

ALG Lawyers is not new to helping and donating to drives and shelters. Our immigration law firm is consistent in joining the advocacies of several charitable organizations in the past years. We understand and embrace the responsibility of giving back to the community. Find out more about our charity programs.
