How to qualify for EB-1

The United States is always looking for talented individuals who may help the nation. Individuals with incomparable skills and experience may qualify for a particular type of employment-based visa. Perhaps you are one of the few eligible for this esteemed status. Keep on reading to know more!

EB-1 Defined

EB-1, or the first preference employment visa, is reserved for foreigners with extraordinary ability. Typically, this type of visa covers professors, researchers, executives, or managers with proven and outstanding records. Applicants may be eligible if they show extensive documentation that their achievements are recognized by respectable personalities or institutions in their respective fields.

Qualifications

Professors and researchers applying for EB-1 qualification must establish that they received international recognition for their previous works related to their field of expertise. Further, they should have at least three years of teaching or researching experience exclusive to an academic area. EB-1 professors and researchers should enter the United States for a teaching tenure, research, or further education.

On the other hand, multinational managers or executives should establish relevant work experience as a manager or executive to a non-US firm or corporation for at least one year within the three years prior to submitting their petition. Also, the said managers and executives must enter the United States to continue service to their current firm or employer.
