What is an H1-B Visa?

The H-1B visa is a nonimmigrant employment-based visa reserved for employees possessing qualifications for specialty occupations or as fashion models of distinguished merit and ability. This visa enables employers to seek workers having abilities and traits otherwise absent in the current local workforce.

The H1-B Visa Cap

Immigration laws impose a cap on H-1B visa and only releases a limited number per year. The congressionally mandated cap is 65,000. Out of this number, 6,800 entries are exclusively for the implementation of US-Chile and US-Singapore free trade agreements.
